How to Submit Artwork
Artwork is submitted by delivering work to our gallery or a designated drop off location pertaining to travel gallery location on the last Wednesday of the month preceding the show (“transition”). The team at GTASL reserves the right to decline certain art entries to ensure high quality artwork is presented in gallery and to the community.
Read below for specific guidelines for member shows, as well as pricing, framing and photographing your work for placement on our website.
Transition
Art shows at the gallery change monthly. Art is delivered/picked up on the last Wednesday of each month (“transition”) at the Gulf Coast Traveling Art Stars League gallery at [fill in address] from 11 am to 5 pm.
Artists are not permitted to carry over the same pieces from a member show to the next member show. Artists must provide new work for all changeovers.
The show opens the Friday following changeover. The final day of each show is the Sunday before changeover.

Member Shows
Members can enter up to two works each month.
Fee for members is $15 for the first pieces, $5 for a second piece
Fee for non-members is $25 for the first piece, $10 for a second piece
All member show entries MUST be available for sale. When a work sells, the member may bring a replacement for the remainder of the show without an additional charge.
Pricing Artwork
When a work of art is sold at the gallery, four things comprise the price of that work:

The amount the artist gets for the work

A 25% consignment fee from the gallery which covers:

sales tax
-
handling fees
-
a 20% gallery commission which helps funds the gallery

credit card costs

wrapping materials, etc.

There are two things' artists need to consider when pricing their works: (1) Artist Payout and (2) the price that will appear on the wall.
Pricing artwork at least 25% higher in cost than artist wants for work, can cover commission /consignment fee. Example: Artist wants $125 for painting, therefore $125 + 25% = $156. Price on painting would be set at $156.
Submission Requirements
All pieces must meet the following criteria:

Be framed [except 3-D pieces] or gallery-wrapped canvas.

Have sides finished (ex: painted around all sides).

Frame wire attached:

No sawtooth hangers at the top.
-
Wire properly attached (approximately a third from top and assure that wire does not show above the top of the piece).

Wire secured to the frame with appropriate and adequately attached fasteners.

Less than 150” perimeter (150” or over counts as 2 pieces).

If over 24” in any direction, the artwork must have Plexiglas rather than glass.

Frame in good condition; no corners that do not meet evenly, no holes or cracks unless barn wood or other aged grain.

Glass/Plexiglas is clean.

Ensure that artwork and mat are secured in frame and won’t fall out when hung.

No nudity or obscene imagery. The Gallery is family and kid friendly.
